About Me

I’m Sofie, the designer and gardener behind Brassica Garden Co. Growing up in the Danish countryside in a family of farmers, gardening, food growing and working with nature have been part of my life from an early age.

I’m currently completing a Master’s in Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and hold a Permaculture Design Certificate, alongside specialist training in naturalistic planting design, regenerative food systems, ecology and sustainable development. By combining practical gardening experience with design training and sustainability expertise, I consider not only how a garden functions day to day or looks throughout the seasons, but also how it contributes to the surrounding landscape.

My approach is thoughtful, practical and rooted in sustainability. I love creating beautiful, biodiverse gardens that suit the people who use them - whether that means transforming an overlooked space, developing a planting scheme with year-round interest or revitalising a mature garden. Whatever the size of your space or your level of gardening experience, I’m here to help. Together, we can create a garden that works for you, supports wildlife and becomes a space to enjoy.
